Counting blessings...

(note: This came from my message box in Facebook...)

If you have food in the refrigerator, clothes on your back, a roof overhead and a place to sleep ... you are richer than 75% of this world.

If you have money in the bank, in your wallet, and spare change in a dish someplace ... you are among the top 8% of the world's wealthy.

Religion and comedy...

I was browsing some videos on YouTube, when suddenly I came by some videos that are excruciatingly wicked and twisted which on one hand it maybe funny, but on the other hand it maybe a little wrong. Why? Because it it a combination between religion... and comedy.

Life is a rat race...

(note: This is my award-"nominating" feature essay for journalism class last semester... (which I should have won...))

In life, have you ever imagined that every challenge you need to go forward has a price in return? Do you have to get yourself flipped just to get things done? I know. I for one as a second year did not perceive that this was about to happen, especially in times that leave you to choose and pay the price, like paying a large contribution for a “life-and-death” situation of a project, or staying up all night  in your classmate’s house just to get done on a final exam requirement. There are times that we don’t expect for our lives to happen. So, life goes on in spite of happenings that have you kicked in the boot.  So in this episode, I would like to share this experience to readers everywhere.

Time before Christmas

'Twas four days, one hour, and 50 minutes before Christmas,
And I'm still not tired,
'Coz I have the slightest feeling,
That I might expire.

The secret world of Sue Sylvester

Sue Sylvester (played by Jane Lynch), is the infamous, villainess-like character in the famous drama-musical series Glee. Sue heads the cheerleading team of the fictional William McKinley High School, the Cheerios, and is known to be a great bully to students and fellow faculty alike. Now there is someone who wants a fight. But she is very known in her dastardly tactics to tear up the school's glee club, the New Directions, into shreds, especially constantly insulting its head teacher, Will Schuester, the main hero of the Glee story, which could be seen as a running gag. So this is her main character, to destroy anyone who gets in her way from creating her motives, which funny because it's very unknown.

Ecce homo... Father Masterson.

Father William Francis Masterson, S.J., priest, Jesuit, academic, and dean is a memorable icon in the College of Agriculture. Who knew that this former rector from Ateneo de Manila would become the first dean of Agriculture, and helped many farmers in Mindanao? I bet his students and fellow faculty would be the judge of that. And who knew that he would transform a barren wasteland of rocks and mud into what is now today as Manresa Farm. Verily, Fr. Masterson is no ordinary servant of God.

The parable of the three bags of gold...

Once upon a time, in a hacienda-sized farm, a rich man gave three bags of gold each to his three sons.

Sorrows

I WANTED TO SCREAM...
Knowing that my sorrows won't go away like a severe case of pink eye, I don't actually know how am I going to live with all this crap frankly because nobody care what I feel inside and believed that I lived in a world full of selfish jerks who think they can rule the day and can step on the weak whenever they can.

Xavier Days: Ateneo's own Mardi Gras

Ever heard of the Mardi Gras of New Orleans? or the Carnival at Rio? Well, why sacrificing yourself for those when there is already one right here... at Xavier University!

Unlike any occasion with a fear of having an F, Xavier Days is the only time when you can be happy of having three F's: Fun, Food, and Friends! There's a lot for anyone to experience to have a fun time at Xavier Days. From taking pictures at photo booths to shopping for tees to rock bands to Law students barbecues. And the best part, no class!
